Maiden Muslim Youth Statekeholder Engagement at the ONCI of Ghana

PRESS RELEASE ON THE MAIDEN MUSLIM YOUTH STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT ORGANISED BY THE OFFICE OF THE NATIONAL CHIEF IMAM OF GHANA

The Office of the National Chief Imam of Ghana (ONCI) has successfully hosted representatives of Ghanaian Muslim Youth organizations pn Saturday 26th October 2019 at the residence of His Eminence.

The Maiden Muslim Youth Stakeholder Engagement centered on BRAINSTORMING on the challenges of the Muslim Community and on models of developing the potentials of the Muslim youth. 

Several thematic areas of consideration emerged from the maiden conversation. Among them were capacity building, transformational leadership, job opportunities, financial literacy, and business management. 

The presence of representatives of Muslim youth based organizations in Accra really indicated the interest and concern of Ghanaian Muslim Youth in the socioeconomic development of our community and country.

We encourage all and sundry to join the caravan of proactive Ghanaian Muslim youth who aspire to ensure the development of Islam and Muslim community in a secular democratic nation.

Participants were asked and urged to prescribe solutions to the problems discussed and present it at the next meeting which comes of on Saturday 9th November 2019 at 1pm, residence of His Eminence.

The ONCI wishes to express its gratitude to the representatives of Ghanaian Muslim organizations in Accra.

We wish to take this opportunity to invite more Muslim youth groups and stakeholders to join us at the next meeting.

This is a maiden youth engagement of the Office of the National Chief Imam in over 3 decades since its inception in 1992.
